| Palazzo Lemmi |
In Palazzo Lemmi, until recently the home of the owners, the original guest rooms, two large suites, the “Imperial” and the “Collegiata” on one side and a double room called the “Blue room” on the other, open off a large staircase. The “Imperial” suite has a balcony overlooking the Collegiata Church and a large travertine marble fireplace in Romanesque-Gothic style like the church outside. The Emperor Frederick I (Barbarossa) may have slept in this room, whence it derives its name. The “Collegiata” suite looks down on both the Collegiata Church and Palazzo Chigi, giving the impression of a view of these buildings from above.
The double room which looks straight out at Monte Amiata is called the “Blue” room, for the colour of the décor resembles the colour of the mountain on a sunny day.
